Abomination First Boss Bugged - Keeps Disappearing in Marvel's Avengers

Abomination is the first boss you’ll encounter in Marvel’s Avengers. He’s a big green meanie, and your job will be to pummel him with another big green meanie, during the To Find Olympia mission. It’s a pretty straightforward fight – at least, unless you encounter a very specific bug. A lot of players have been complaining about him disappearing in the middle of the fight. If you’re one of them, this guide will show you how to fix Marvel’s Avengers Abomination first boss bug.

Abomination First Boss Bugged – Keeps Disappearing in Marvel’s Avengers

Abomination boss bug in To Find Olympia mission

After Hulk breaks through the panels and the fight starts, everything seems fine for a while. Then, suddenly, the boss either falls through the floor and walks into a wall. He disappears, and his health bar disappears along with him. The only thing that doesn’t disappear is the objective to defeat him, making the mission impossible to complete. Restarting the checkpoint does nothing to aleviate the problem – he disappears after a while again.

The solution is a bit unorthodox, but it works. If Abomination keeps disappearing for you, try using ranged attacks exclusively. Several reports have indicated he only disappears when you use melee attacks. Throw stuff at him and you’ll get around the issue.

Also, you should keep Abomination as far away from the walls as possible, and make sure to destroy the generators in the first room, since those can cause problems, too. Avoid all moves that cause Abomination to start charging up, such as using your own charge attacks. Last, but not least, do not use jump attacks on the boss, or you risk clipping him through the floor. The whole thing is a bit of a mess, so good luck.

This isn’t the first thing to disappear in Marvel’s Avengers – earlier, people were complaining about preorder bonus legacy skins not showing up in their inventories. Since more bugs are bound to appear as more people start playing once the early access period is over, we’ll keep our ear to the ground, and we’re going to write about any issues that might start developing, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, you can read some of the other guides we’ve written about the game, like the one about unlocking characters, or the one about finding Prime Synthoids.
