Camping in New World is a mechanic that you will unlock while playing the game, but players are reporting that they are getting a “Can’t Make Camp” message that is preventing them from doing so. How To Camp in New World

Camping is something that you will unlock during the course of the Main Quest. New World has several Territories that you can start in, and, while their locations and quest names differ, they are essentially the same – with same objectives that you will need to complete. One of the early quests in the game requires you to camp out away from the main Town in your starting Territory. Select a good spot out in the open and build the camp. Place it on the ground, and then interact with it to make it. To do this, you will need the following materials: x5 Green Wood and x1 Flint. These are very common resources, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding them, if you haven’t already.

If you are getting the “Camping not unlocked yet” message even though you fulfil all of the requirements, log out of the game and log back in. This should then fix the problem. Once you have unlocked this system, you will then be able to freely camp whenever you want. By default, the set up command is Y on American keyboards and Z on European keyboards. Camps are a very important part of the game, since they not only allow you to rest and craft, but they are also respawn points for when you get killed.
