Heart of the Marsh New World - Jocelyn Marshjaw Location

Heart of the Marsh is a quest in New World that tasks you with finding the location of Jocelyn Marshjaw. Sent by her husband, Nekumanesh, you must travel into the Salty Marshes to find her. Once there, you must slay her beast form and recover Jocelyn’s diary from Jocelyn Marshjaw. However, some people are finding the quest bugged, making it impossible to complete. Heart of the Marsh – New World Jocelyn Marshjaw Location

You can start the quest by visiting Cutlass Keys and speaking to Nekumanash. He is a Swamp Walker who resides in the north of the Salty Marshes. He will ask you to find his estranged wife and return a keepsake from her. He will then provide her location. This should start the quest Heart of the Marsh.

Follow the quest waypoint and you will arrive in the Salty Marshes to the southwest. Your objectives will update. You should wait at a chest outside Flatfish Fishery in the marshes. Jocelyn will appear as an enemy.

Or she should do. For many people, a rather annoying bug has occurred where Jocelyn Marshjaw is refusing to respawn. You do have to wait for her to appear, but players have sat for around 30 to 90 minutes without any respawn. With no current fix known, this is frustrating, to say the least.

If she does appear, then slay her. The bark is worse than the bite, and she looks more menacing than she is. Once dead, take the diary from the slain foe’s body. You then need to travel back to Swamp Walker Nekumanesh.
