Spotlight Hour October Pokemon Go - Gothita, Gastly, Drifloon, Murkrow

In October, the Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour is getting spooky with Gothita, Gastly, Drifloon and Murkrow all on offer. This weekly event provides a focus on one Pokemon. Increased spawn rates occur, and bonus prizes are on offer. You also have more of a chance to get an elusive shiny variant. Read on as we discuss the Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour for October.

Pokemon Go Spotlight gives you a solitary hour every week to focus on catching one Pokemon. Starting at 6 pm local time, it runs until 7 pm. You can expect increased spawn rates and some special prizes. With this comes a greater chance to catch rare, shiny variant Pokemon.

Spotlight Hours October – Pokemon Go Gothita, Gastly, Drifloon, Murkrow

The first to make an appearance on October 5th is Drifloon. As well as a chance to catch this ghostly/flying type Pokemon, 2 x evolution XP will be on offer. This is followed by Gastly on the 12th of the month. This generation one poison Pokemon will bring 2 x catch stardust.

October 19th will see Gothita in the spotlight. This cute little Pokemon also gives you the chance to have 2 x catch evolution. The week after, on October 26th, you can expect to see Murkrow get its turn. This will give 2 x evolution XP.

For these events, make sure you come prepared. Stock up on pokeballs, plenty of ultraballs, remember to lay lures and get some berries. With increased spawn rates, it is more likely you will encounter a variant shiny type Pokemon. When the time comes, you don’t want to let it get away.

October the 9th also brings a Duskull Community Day. This rounds out the ghostly Pokemon in time for Halloween. With the upcoming events in conjunction with the Pokemon movie, it gives you a great chance to increase your pokedex. Check back here for updates.
