Friday the 13th The Game Update 1.06 Live on PS4, Full Patch Notes

GUN Media is releasing a new patch for Friday the 13th. It’s not too big, and it addresses two crash bugs, making the game more stable. However, the main thing it fixes is a pretty bad exploit, where councilors could teleport to a roof when crouching. That way, Jason couldn’t reach them at all, and the match would be completely ruined.

Friday the 13th The Game Update 1.06 Live on PS4, Full Patch Notes

Friday the 13th: The Game has been having plenty of problems ever since it launched, and everybody knows that. The developers have been working day and night on fixing it, and they’ve managed to improve the game a lot. That doesn’t mean that the game isn’t still full of issues, though.

The latest game breaker was the “crouch glitch”, which allowed councilors to end up on the roof of a cabin where Jason couldn’t get them. Fortunately, the developers have fixed that, as they’ve explained in a post on their official Facebook page:

The ‘crouch glitch’ that has been used by players to get on roofs and within hidden areas is patched out and should no longer be occurring to players. Other areas have also been looked at and patched up as to prevent users from getting into spots where Jason cannot go.

Of course, it was the players that brought the exploit to the attention of the developers. According to the same Facebook post, the devs have received over five thousand reports. They’re taking action against those that have abused the glitch:

Bans have been issued and will continue to be issued to those exploiting to harass/abuse other users.

The patch is now live on the PlayStation 4, with the Xbox One and Steam version coming out “shortly”. Here are the full patch notes, as presented on PlayStation Universe:

  • Fixes exploits where users can get on the roof.
  • Fixes crash bug with Slate rendering.
  • Fixes crash bug after longer gameplay.
