How to get your Fifa 18 itch scratched with early access options

PES has been out for a week or so, trying to snatch some sales before Fifa rolls in. The EA’s football sim is returning sleeker than ever, with even more presentation options, although, arguably, PES seems to be taking the thrown when it comes to gameplay. Still, hardcore fans are mostly already ready for their fix on September 29.

Ronaldo edition will give you a 3-day early access if you can’t get into EA/Origin Access.

However, if you’d prefer to dip your toes in sooner, there are a few options available. If you’re signed up for EA Access on Xbox One, you can start playing Fifa on September 21 already. It’s a ten-hour trial (the likes of which we’ve seen with Mass Effect Andromeda back in the day) of the full game. It does cost you $5 a month, however, you do get other EA titles to play around with. If you are on PC, the same offer is called Origin Access, but PS4 players are not that lucky – there is no such service available.

The best PS4 owners can do is purchase either Ronaldo edition or Icon edition of Fifa 18 and receive three days of early access, starting on September 26. Of course, this is also available to PC and Xbox One players who are not using EA’s service listed above, but not for Switch owners.

Oh, and don’t forget that there is always the demo. Yes, it’s not quite the same thing, but you could be honing your goalscoring, slide-tackling skills, instead of reading this!
