Launch trailer for Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 – the game is out today
Polish CI Games have finished work on the third Sniper Ghost Warrior. The tactical shooter is supposed to represent a AAA production effort, with reduced linearity compared to its predecessors. It features an open world setting, where activities and side missions are available.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is story of brotherhood, patriotism, and betrayal in the most complete sniper experience ever released. Take the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North, who drops into enemy territory in northern Georgia as the country is dissolving into a bloody civil war. Explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather conditions, and a day and night cycle that impacts play and player decision-making. Customize weapons, equipment, accessories, vehicles, and a drone, and utilize the three pillars of gameplay to your liking: Sniper, Ghost, and Warrior.
In a move that will most probably prove very unpopular, CI Games announced that multiplayer for the game will be delayed until Q3 2017. The game is already beset with problems of supposed 5-minute load screens and after two delays, the news of no multiplayer at launch might become a problem. Here is what CI Games had to say about that:
Throughout our development of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, we have had two focus. The first is to provide the best possible single player experience in our most ambitious game in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series to date. This has always been our goal and we are extremely proud of all the work we have done, and that we share with you. The second emphasis from us is to provide regular content updates post launch, focusing on content that enhances the gaming experience. Therefore, we have chosen to release the multiplayer update (that will be free for our players) after launch (the third quarter of 2017) for precisely the above reasons, that is not to dilute any potential from the single player experience.
Those words might sound candid, but the harsh reality is that they might expect to lose some sales due to this being announced at the last possible moment.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is out for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
