Mortal Kombat 11 New Gameplay Video Showcases Cassie Cage & Kano

The new Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay video is out, and it features a really interesting mash-up: Kano vs Cassie Cage. While the emphasis is on Cassie, we also get a good look at Kano, too. And, well, both of them are exactly as they should be. Kano is a boisterous, brutal psycho, and Cassie is a smart-mouth like her father. And their fighting styles match their personalities pretty perfectly.

Mortal Kombat 11 New Gameplay Video Showcases Cassie Cage & Kano

In the latest gameplay video for Mortal Kombat, we’re treated to two characters instead of one; Cassie Cage and Kano. If you’ve played the new Mortal Kombat games, you’ll notice that they play more or less the same as before. What was interesting for me to see was that Cassie has some kind of drone with her. If I remember correctly, the drone was one of Sonya Blade’s fighting styles in MKX. So, not only does Cassie look more like her mother, but she seems to be adopting more of her fighting tricks. Of course, the green attacks inherited from her dad, Johnny Cage, are still a thing.

But, of course, to me, it’s the Fatality that is the star of every gameplay video, and this one is no exception. I’d venture to say Cassie’s might just be my favorite so far; it’s just so gory and cartoony, I adore it. Parental guidance moment here; what I’m about to describe is off limits to our younger readers. So, the proceedings begin with Cassie unloading, like, two clips into the opponent, while running towards them. She then proceeds to kick the enemy really hard, right to the groin. So hard, in fact, that the enemy splits in twain, and their skull, spine, and ribs come flying out. I mean, what’s not to love?

Mortal Kombat 11 is coming out on April 23rd. You’ll be able to play it on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. I have to be honest, this one is gonna be tough to be impartial about. So far, I’ve loved everything I’ve seen gameplay-wise. That said, I still won’t be pre-ordering, or buying it until I see everything there is to see, especially when it comes to the Kombat Pack.
