Nier Reincarnation, the mobile game set in the universe of the series, now has a launch date – Wednesday, July 28th. While the game will be free, it will feature in-app purchases. Pre-registration is already available on both the iOS App Store and Android’s Google Play, and the more people register early, the more in-game rewards everyone will get. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty.
Nier Reincarnation Release Date Set for July 28th
If you’ve already gobbled up everything Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139 had to offer and want more, then you’re just a month away from a new game set in the universe. As we’ve said up top, Nier Reincarnation is coming out on July 28th, and it will be free to download, but it will have in-app purchases. You can already pre-register for the game via the App Store or Google Play. According to the description of the new trailer, which you can check out below, once they reach 600,000 registrations, “all players will receive enough gems to complete 15 Summons for free, in addition to valuable materials needed to enhance characters.” I generally disapprove of such practices, but it’s something you ought to know if you’re planning to play Reincarnation.
In the game, you play as a brand new character, The Girl of Light. She awakens in an enormous, impossible structure called The Cage. Led on by a strange entity that calls herself Mama, she heads on to explore the infinity of the buildings in order to “reclaim what she has lost – and atone for her sins.” It’s all veiled in a thick coat of mystery, and the trailer just brings up more questions and answers none. Then again, what else could one expect from the brain child of Yoko Taro? At least the video shows you some slivers of gameplay, including the 2D memories you’ll encounter on your journey. If you want to know more about the game, you can check out the official Nier Reincarnation website.
