Persona 5 will soon be knocking on our door right after one of the best Q1 lineups in the history of gaming. Resident Evil 7, Nioh, Horizon: Zero Dawn, For Honor, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nier: Automata, Mass Effect: Andromeda. It would appear the developers are trying to spoil us.
Persona has a rich history on Playstation and it is no wonder that Persona 5 will be out on PS3 and PS4. It might seem weird that the game is coming out for the previous console generation as well, however, it was originally meant to be released on it, even before PS4 came out. The work on the game started in 2011, with the original release date set for late 2014. It was since then moved to 2017, to improve quality, as well as adjust to a new console.
Here’s what Atlus has to say about their new title:
“Persona 5 is a game about the internal and external conflicts of a group of troubled youth who live dual lives. They have the typically ordinary day-to-day of a Tokyo high-schooler – attending class, after school activities and part-time jobs. But they also undertake fantastical adventures by using otherworldly powers to enter the hearts of people. Their power comes from the Persona, the Jungian concept of the “self;” the game’s heroes realize that society forces people to wear masks to protect their inner vulnerabilities, and by literally ripping off their protective mask and confronting their inner selves do the heroes awaken their inner power, and use it to strive to help those in need. Ultimately, the group of Phantom Thieves seeks to change their day-to-day world to match their perception and see through the masks modern-day society wears.”
You will be able to go back to school, do sports, make friends, work part-time, oh, and use powerful Personas to fight enemies from your nightmares. All that from April 4, 2017.
