Big gym changes in Pokemon GO
Pokemon GO new update is going live. The game is updated to version 0.45.0 for Android and 1.15.0 for iOS devices.
Here is the full list of changes that Niantec gave to the players on their website.You’ll earn bonuses for the first Pokémon catch and PokéStop visit each day. You’ll receive a larger bonus when you do this seven days in a row. When you defeat the Gym Leader at a rival Gym, there will be a brief period of time where only you will be able to place a Pokémon in the open Gym. The amount of Prestige a rival Gym loses when you defeat a regular Gym member has increased. The amount of Prestige gained by training at a friendly Gym has been lowered. Minor text fixes
To those who are not familiar with gym sniping term – it happens when someone battles a rival gym and after defeating the gym another trainer quickly snatches the gym away. The newest update will now give trainers who beat a rival gym more time to place one of their own Pokemon. During this extra time only the trainer who too the gym will be able to place Pokemon on the gym.
The second change regarding gym battles is the amount of prestige given when you beat a rival gym member. Niantic is increasing the number of prestige that is lost when a member of the rival gym is beaten. That means that gyms can be taken down much quicker than before. We do not know how much prestige will be lost in this moment.
A third change is the amount of prestige that you gain from friendly gyms. This update is essentially the opposite from the previous change, as now you will receive less prestige when battling a friendly gym.
This will mean that it will take longer to level up a gym to the to level 10.
