Pokemon GO Growlithe Spotlight Hour

The Growlithe Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO is almost upon us, as we’ve already said, so let’s get into the details. First off, when is it gonna take place? As is always the case, it’s gonna happen on Tuesday; in this case, it’ll be September 26th. You’ll be able to take part in the mini-event from 6 PM local time to 7 PM local time. Over the course of the hour, Growlithe is going to be spawning much more often, as is customary during Spotlight Hours. On top of that, you’ll also get twice the Catch Stardust for every Pokemon you manage to nab. Don’t forget; you need to 50 Growlithe Candy to evolve it into Arcanine. And that’s basically all there is to it, aside from whether or not Growlithe can be shiny. Well, let’s find out!

Can Growlithe be Shiny?

Yes, Growlithe can be shiny in Pokemon GO, so the upcoming Spotlight Hour will be a great moment to catch yourself one. Note that, in Pokemon Go, a shiny Growlithe is lemon-yellow. While it doesn’t look particularly different from the regular version, it’s still distinct enough to tell at first glance. That is, unless you have some type of color-blindness, I suppose, but that’s an entirely different can of worms. So, yeah; if you don’t have a shiny Growlithe yet, or want to hunt for more of them, then be sure to mark Tuesday, March 15th on your calendar. Of course, the double Catch Stardust is nothing to sneeze at, either.
