Pokemon GO Halloween Season Event Revealed

The Pokemon GO Halloween event has been announced on the official Pokemon website. The announcement doesn’t reveal any other details about the event itself. Trainers can probably expect to see increased spawn rates of certain Pokemon, especially Dark type ones. We’ll probably also get double Candy and / or double EXP and other usual stuff that we get every event. Niantic will probably give us more details as we slowly approach Halloween.

Pokemon GO Halloween Season Event Revealed

Pokemon GO trainers will get to enjoy another Halloween-themed event this October. The developers have revealed as much on the official Pokemon website. Here’s what the announcement says: “The Halloween season is a special time in Pokémon GO. Plenty of good stuff is coming to the game later this October, and we can’t wait to get out and about to see what sort of excitement we can scare up while catching new Pokémon to fill out our Pokédex.” So, yeah, we don’t get a lot to go by; it’s pretty much just a teaser for things to come. Niantic will feed us more info as Halloween comes closer.

If you ask me, my prediction is that this year’s event will be pretty similar to last year’s. In case you’ve forgotten what the last Halloween event brought to Pokemon GO, let’s give you a quick reminder. It started on October 26th, and lasted until November 2nd. Participating trainers got double Candy rewards while it was going on. The crux of the event, however, were increased spawn rates of even remotely horror-ish Pokemon. The list included Golbat, Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Hypno, Alakazam, and the scariest Pokemon of all, Magikarp. Niantic released a trailer for the Halloween event two days before it began. That’s probably when we’ll get more info about this year’s event, too. I could be wrong; we’ll find out soon enough.
