Pokemon GO Female Nidoran Spotlight Hour

The female Nidoran Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO is going to take place on Tuesday, August 9th from 6 PM to 7 PM local server time. As is always the case, while the event lasts, the spotlight Pokemon will spawn more often, including its shiny version (we’ll get into that in the next section). There’s also the event bonus, of course. This week, it’s going to be double catch XP. That means you’ll get twice the XP for every Pokemon you capture. That’s a decent bonus, to be sure. However, neither Nidoran is that interesting a Pokemon, and this month, both the male and female versions will have their week. I guess the Hisuian Voltorb and Joltik will have to do all the heavy lifting.

Can Female Nidoran Be Shiny

Yes, the female version of Nidoran can be shiny in Pokemon GO, and the likelihood of encountering one or more will be higher during the Spotlight Hour. The only potential problem here is that the shiny female Nidoran is pink, making it look a lot like the male Nidoran at first glance. However, once you engage with it, you’ll be able to see what you’re up against. Either way, if you’re on the market for a shiny female Nidoran (which you can then eventually evolve into a shiny Nidoqueen, if you so choose), then the Spotlight Hour will be a great opportunity. And the double catch XP bonus should encourage you to capture whatever comes your way.
