Can Deoxys be Shiny in Pokemon GO

Yes, Deoxys can be shiny in Pokemon GO, in 2022 and in general. All four Deoxys forms (Speed, Attack, Defense and Normal) have their shiny variant, to be more precise. Therefore, if you’re a Pokedex completionist, you technically have to catch eight different versions of this thing. That’s likely going to be a bit of a problem, as we’re going to explain in the next section. On the bright side, at least they’re easy to tell apart from the regular Deoxys. As you can see in the image above, the shinies are bright yellow instead of orange. This is true for all four forms.

What’s not as great is the fact that encounters with Deoxys are very rare. By that, I mean they’re pretty much exclusive to Raid battles (and events, sometimes). So, you have to wait until Niantic decide to bring the Pokemon back for whatever limited amount of time. Then, you have to hope that you have the luck to encounter a shiny Deoxys in Pokemon GO in 2022 (and beyond). Of course, this is never a guarantee, so good luck with that. I hope the RNG gods are fond of you.

Fortunately for you, Deoxys will be in five-star Raids from September 1st to September 13th, 2022.
