If you’re on the hunt for a shiny Magneton in Pokemon GO in 2022, you’ve probably been through a lot without coming across one in the wild, or in Raids. Well, the fact of the matter is that you can’t get it that way. Fortunately, there is one way that does seem to work. Here’s what you need to do.
Can Magneton Be Shiny in Pokemon GO
Yes, Magneton can be shiny in Pokemon GO in 2022, but in kind of a roundabout way. By that, I mean you can’t technically catch a shiny Magnezone out in the wild, or in Raids. As you can see in the post announcing the Evolving Stars event, Magneton will be in three-star Raids. However, it doesn’t have the three little stars in the upper right of the icon. That means that it can’t be shiny, at least not in those circumstances. However, Magnemite, the first step in the evolution chain, can be shiny. So, if you evolve it with twenty-five Magnemite Candies, then you’ll get a shiny Magneton. Add a hundred more Candies, and suddenly, you have a shiny Magnezone.
So, yeah, that’s how you can get a shiny Magneton in Pokemon GO in 2022 – the long way around, so to speak. Of course, if you have happened upon a Shiny Magneton somewhere in the wild, or in Raids, or wherever else, I would love to hear about it in the comments. It shouldn’t happen, but it might have. Shiny Pokemon are exceedingly rare, after all. Anything can happen. Be that as it may, be sure to stay tuned in the coming days, as we’ll be covering some other aspects of the Evolving Stars event with our guides. There will be a lot to dive into. Like, for example, Shiny Haunter in Pokemon GO 2022, where we discuss this same matter for that Pokemon.
