Can Skwovet Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

No, Skwovet cannot be shiny in Pokemon GO in 2022, and neither can its evolution, Greedent. How do we know? Well, if you take a gander at the post announcing the Greedy Gluttons event, you can find Skwovet in the Wild Encounters section. You’ll notice that it doesn’t have the three little stars in the upper right corner of its icon. That means that it doesn’t have a shiny version in Pokemon GO. So, if you’ve been busting your chops trying to capture a special variant of the squirrel Pokemon, you can stop now. I mean, Niantic might add a shiny Skwovet at some point in the future. We’ll be sure you let you know when and if that happens.

So, that’s basically all you need to know when it comes to shiny Skwovet in Pokemon GO in 2022. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t participate in the Greedy Gluttons event. It’s going to last from Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 at 10 AM local time to Thursday, November 17th, 2022 at 8 PM local time. There will be many, many cool and relatively rare Pokemon to fight and catch in Raids, Wild Encounters, Field Research tasks, and more. One of the biggest draws, of course, is Guzzlord. This Pokemon is making its debut in five-star Raids. If you need help with it, check out our Guzzlord Counters, Best Moveset & Weakness guide.
