Pokemon GO Yungoos Spotlight Hour

The Yungoos Spotlight Hour, which will also feature the shiny version of the Pokemon, will take place on Tuesday, July 25th, between 6 PM and 7 PM local time. I know, I know; so many of you are already sick and tired of the mongoose, what with its ridiculous over-representation in the recent Pokemon GO events. Just ignore the Spotlight Hour if you don’t want to participate. Those of you that do opt to join the fun, you’ll get to enjoy the event bonus, which is going to be double Transfer Candy. Sure, you don’t need that much Yungoos Candy, but you can use the bonus to get more Transfer Candy for any Pokemon, not just the featured one.

Can Yungoos be Shiny?

AS those of you that are already sick and tired of the mongoose Pokemon probably already know, Yungoos can be shiny in Pokemon GO. So, if you haven’t yet caught one (or want to catch more), the Spotlight Hour is going to be a great opportunity to do so. Telling the difference between the regular and special Yungoos is really easy. The stripe on the shiny version’s back and belly are a bright, pastel purple instead of the usual yellow. So, that shouldn’t be a problem. And yes, Yungoos’s evolution, the stupidly named Gumshoos, can also be shiny. So, if you catch more than one special Yungoos and use the double Transfer Candy bonus right, you’ll be able to get a shiny Gumshoos. I don’t know why you’d go through all that trouble, but you can!
