How to Catch Sunflora – Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos Challenge

To catch Sunflora in the Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos collection challenge, you’re gonna have to go about it the old-fashioned way – you’ll have to hope you’ll find it as a wild encounter. That makes things a little rough, because Sunflora is not exactly the most common of spawns. And, no, simply evolving a Sunflora from a Sunkern or hatching one or trading one does not count towards the Dia de Muertos challenge; you absolutely have to catch it. That said, you don’t have to go looking for it out in the wild without anything to help you on your quest. You can (and probably definitely should) have an active Incense on you, and/or find a PokeStop that’s in a convenient location and place a Lure there. Rinse and repeat until you finally encounter and catch a Sunflora.

Incidentally, if you’re wondering, the Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos collection challenge requires you to catch Sunkern, Roselia, Murkrow, Cubone, Houndour, Sableye, Sunflora and Drifloon. Your rewards for completing it all will be a Poffin, and Incense, a Collection badge, and a Shedinja encounter. The last item on the list here is pretty rare, so it makes the hassle worth it if you don’t already have a Shedinja. Just remember that you only have until November 2nd at 8 PM local time to complete all of the steps. After that, the event will have timed out, so all your efforts will have been for naught. I wish you the best of luck, trainers!
