Resident Evil 7 The Experience Four-Day London Event

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, the new and highly-anticipated installment in the long-lived franchise, is hitting the shelves on January 24th. To celebrate (and market, of course) the game’s release, Capcom is organizing a very special event in London, called Resident Evil 7: The Experience. During the four-day event, from January 20th to January 23rd, you can take part in the “immersive experience”. That’s fancy video-game talk for “really cool house of horrors”.

Resident Evil 7: The Experience follows some of the events from the game. The 45-minute immersive experience draws inspiration from the series’ return to its survival horror roots, something most of the fans are eagerly looking forward to.

Check out the video below for a taste of what you can expect from RE 7: The Experience.

If you’re brave enough to participate in the event, you take the role of investigative journalism interns. Your mission is to help a paranormal TV production discover what happened to their crew members. They walked into the house and never came back, so it’s your job to go in and investigate. Said TV crew, called the Sewer Gators, are the three people we get to see in the Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour playable teaser. The house, of course, is the Baker family mansion. For more info on the demo, check out our Resident Evil 7 Demo Secrets article.

The “haunted and dilapidated” venue is located in the heart of London’s East End, most infamous for the crimes of Jack The Ripper. Participants will enter the house in pairs, and will have to work together to solve puzzles and collect clues. Of course, the experience includes some “unexpected interruptions” and other seen and unseen obstacles. The goal is to find out what happened in the house and escape unharmed. After going through the house, participants will get the chance to play the demo version of the game before its release.

If this is something that tickles your fancy, and you’ll be in London between January 20th and 23rd, you should check it out. Entry is completely free, on a strict first-come basis. The number of tickets is limited, so head straight to the Resident Evil 7: The Experience website to grab one.
