How to Make Gates on Defensive Walls Sons of the Forest

If you have figured out how to make doors, then you have no doubt realized that doors don’t do much to protect you against the aggressive cannibals on the island. The book explains how to set up defensive walls and in the last two pictures there, it also mentions that you can make gates. Though, when you try to do this the way the pictures have instructed you, you will realize that you can’t do this. But why is this the case?

Well, the reason is very simple – gates have not yet been added to the game. We hope that they are going to be added in the next update which is going to be released in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, you can get around this problem by building a walkway over the defensive walls by placing a ramp on the inside of your base, a roof across the wall itself, and a rope of the other side that allows you – but not the cannibals – to get in and out.
