Lost Progress Sons Of The Forest

Just like in the original, in Sons Of The Forest, it’s all about continued progression and development. You start from the ground up and slowly build your camp, tools, and arsenal. It is a painstaking task, but one which rewards you in the long run when you see the results of your work. And that’s why it can be soul-crushing when you lose Sons Of The Forest progress due to a bug. And unfortunately, that’s what happens to many players on the first they of the early access launch.

“Every 10 mins or so playing the game, it will freeze, and the game will crash,” says NovocaineRascal via Discord. “Verified integrity, and still no change. Really annoying as it means I have to save every 5 mins by placing the little tent, or I lose all my progress.” Steam user UwU Warden says that he has lost a save due to a bug. Player James May claims that he lost all progress when he switched the resolution to 1440p.

As you can see, quite a few issues currently result in the game crashing and save files getting corrupted. Currently, there doesn’t seem to be a solution for the “Sons Of The Forest Lost Progress” issue. The only advice we can give at this moment is to save often and regularly. That’s because you never know when the game might crash. If you know of any reliable workarounds, share them with us in the comments section!
