Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will launch on August 22

The end of the summer will be very hot, and not only due to global warming. Naughty Dog has just confirmed that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be released on August 22, 2017. Stiff competition time, as Shadow of War also launches on the same date in North America, and Destiny 2 is only two weeks away, on September 9. The Lost Legacy offers over 10 hours of playtime for the announced price of $39.99.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a character driven spin-off of the Uncharted series featuring Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. Chloe has been a mainstay of the series since Uncharted 2, while Nadine appeared in A Thief’s End for the first time, but managed to kicks Nathan’s ass more than once, so we can say these ladies mean business. They will be looking for the Tusk of Ganesh, hidden somewhere in the mountains of western India. At the same time, they will be playing the game of cat and mouse with a war profiteer, Asav, who is the main antagonist, we assume. Apparently, he and Nadine have a history, which will surely crop up at some point. It should be quite a trip!

Naughty Dog mentions that those who have the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Digital Deluxe Edition, the Explorer’s Pack or the Triple Pack will get The Lost Legacy as a digital download at launch. Those who pre-order The Lost Legacy, will receive a free digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. This includes all four of the original Jak and Daxter PS2 classics, this time running on PS4. Not remasters, but still a nice gesture.

To sum up, $39.99, over 10 hours of gameplay, August 22, looking for the Tusk of Ganesha. Got all that down? Good. We will keep you posted on any changes.
