Sound of a Horn Zelda TOTK Great Fairy Mija

To unlock access to Great Fairy Mija in Zelda TOTK, she needs to hear the sound of a horn. All that tells you is that you have to find a musician of a specific type. Well, even if you do, he won’t budge initially. You have to go all the way to Woodland Stables and talk to the musicians there. They’ll only tell their story to a journalist, so the next stop is the Lucky Clover Gazette and agreeing to work for them. Then you go back to the musicians, talk to them, repair their cart and take them to the nearby Great Fairy, Tera. Only once you’ve done all of that can you start on unlocking Mija. We have a separate guide on Great Fairy Tera if you need more detailed instructions.

Where is Eustus for Great Fairy Mija Sound of a Horn in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

So, the musicians have told you that, in order for Great Fairy Mija to hear the sound of a horn, you need to find Eustus in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, or TOTK. He’s in a bit of a pickle. To find him, go to Tabantha Bridge Stables and cross Tabantha Great Bridge towards the west. Follow the road until you spot a crater on your right with a plume of smoke rising out of it. That’s where Eustus is. His exact coordinates are -3647, 0769, 0117. Talk to him to start the side quest called The Hornist’s Dramatic Escape. You need to help the musician out of the hole using your ingenuity.

The Hornist’s Dramatic Escape Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Great Fairy Mija can’t hear the sound of a horn in Zelda TOTK until you complete the Hornist’s Dramatic Escape side quest in Tears of the Kingdom. To do that, you need to make a flying machine using the junk in the crater. Take the cart and put the metal grate on top using Ultrahand. Place a balloon on the top and a burner just under the balloon, into the holder. You can add a fan at the back to add forward momentum. Talk to Eustus to get him into the vehicle. Don’t bother with activating the thing. Instead, head straight out of the hole and use Ultrahand to move the whole contraption and the musician to safety.

Serenade to Great Fairy Mija Zelda TOTK, Sound of a Horn
