Mortal Kombat 11 Preorder Bonuses & Special Editions Content Revealed

First off, the preorder bonuses. As of now, there seems to be only two preorder bonuses, but fairly significant ones. The first one is access to the Mortal Kombat 11 beta, taking place in late March. The second one is, you get to play as none other than Shao Khan. You get both of these regardless of which edition you preorder; even the Standard Edition that will cost $60.

Now, let’s get into the special editions. Right now, there seem to be just two extra editions of MK11, so you won’t need flowcharts to figure it out, as is the case with some other games. The first one in line is the Premium Edition, which will set you back $100. Along with the base game, the Premium Edition nets you the Kombat Pack. One assumes that the Kombat Pack will contain DLC characters and skins and other bonus stuff that will come out incrementally over the course of the game’s lifespan.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Kollector’s Edition. It comes with the Premium Edition of the game, a steelbook case with a golden, magnetic medallion of the Mortal Kombat dragon, and a life-size Scorpion mask. Can you wear the mask? I honestly can’t tell. To me, it looks like it’s a statue of the mask, so I really doubt that you’ll be able to use it to cosplay. I think it’s just ornamental. Whatever the case, it looks pretty cool. That said, it will cost you a whopping $300 at Gamestop. That should give you pause, my friend.
