How to Assign Outfits in Animal Crossing New Horizons Star Wand?

To assign outfits to the Star Wand in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you have to go to any wardrobe. From there, you can store up to eight different outfits that you can switch between. Then, all you have to do is whip the wand out and select the outfit you want, and you’ll change clothes instantly. This is a pretty handy tool, since you don’t have to go back home whenever it rains to put your rain gear on. And, well, that’s about there is to it.

Now, you might be wondering, how does one get this Star Wand? Well, we cover the whole thing in our Get Star Fragments & Magic Wand guide, so take a gander there for detailed instructions. The basic idea is, you need three Star Fragments and one Large Star Fragment. To get those, you have to wait for a shooting star / meteor shower to happen during the night. Hold up on the left stick to observe the sky, and hit A as the star shoots to make a wish. The next morning, search every inch of the beach to find Star Fragments.

So, that about sums it up, really. If you need more assistance with the game, check out our ever-expanding list of Animal Crossing New Horizons guides. Among other stuff, we’ve written articles like How to Capture an Ant, How to Plant Bamboo, and How to Get Cherry Blossom Trees.
