How to Recruit Nook Miles Ticket Islands Villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

To recruit new villagers from Nook Miles Ticket islands in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you first have to purchase a Nook Miles Ticket from Nook Stop Terminal in Resident Services. It’ll cost you 2,000 Nook Miles for one of these. With that ticket, go to the airport and fly to one of these islands. They are usually deserted, relatively small, and seem to generate randomly. You can gather resources here. Among other stuff, there’s Foreign Fruit, which you can sell at home for a whole lot of Bells. You can also dig up a whole Foreign Tree and plant it on your island.

More importantly, you can meet random people here that you can talk to and recruit them to move to your village. You can do this after you unlock the option to place plots for new villagers, around Day 4. If they agree to come, you have to go back home, build a bridge and start preparing a home for them. This whole process eventually leads you to finally unlock the Ladder in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

It will take about a day for the home to be complete. Then, you’ll have to wait another day for the new villager to arrive. Of course, you can always use time travel to advance the game, if you don’t want to wait. We explain how to do this in our How to Time Travel in Animal Crossing New Horizons guide.
