Left Behind Enigma AC Mirage

Left Behind Enigma in AC Mirage is another puzzle you’ll come across in the starting region of Baghdad. Enigmas are points of interest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage that give you a text or image riddle to solve. Left Behind starts close to the main road leading from Qutrabbul Gate, that you probably used to enter the city. It should show up on your in-game compass and your map just as you walk on the main road towards the first viewpoint. The first obstacle might be how to get inside the house with the enigma. What also makes this riddle tricky is that the whole puzzle is one picture. I’ll show you how to enter the house with the enigma in Shari’ sub-district of Harbiyah and how to solve the AC Mirage Left Behind Enigma.

How to Enter the House with the Enigma Puzzle in Harbiyah sub-district Shari’?

If you are like me it has been some time since you’ve spent time with AC Valhalla. You might have forgotten how circumventing barred doors and windows works. I had to dust off my knowledge when trying to get this Harbiyah enigma. Once you arrive at the house you’ll notice both doors are barred. There’s no way from the roof or the ground floor to enter the building. I remembered to use my eagle vision. This revealed that locks on the doors shine bright red. This means I can destroy them with a ranged weapon. I used my throwing daggers to get the lock off of one of the doors and finally picked up the AC Mirage Left Behind Enigma. You’ll also notice some scaffolding obstructing the open window. You can press Y on Xbox to take it down and then just enter through the window.

Left Behind just shows you, what seems to be, a child’s drawing with a red X marking the spot of the treasure. It also shows some buildings next to water, close to a fishing related hut and a red drawn lion or another animal of the feline variety. I first started looking on the bank of a nearby river. The tree in the picture and two palm trees next to the buildings looked like something I found near to where the enigma started. Next to a water mill. I even found some cats there and started to think they might be what the image depicted. I had no luck though.

After spending almost an hour I decided I didn’t explore enough of the game to find the Left Behind Enigma solution. So, I went on my merry way. I, usually, explore all viewpoints on the map I can reach. This makes fast traveling much easier. As I explored the wilderness I came across an abandoned village. A guy there gave me a Tale of Baghdad side mission. At the river bank of this fishing village I actually faced a leopard. This lit up a few bulbs. This could be the cat from the Left Behind Enigma picture. Unfortunately, the location of the puzzle was nowhere to be found near the animal.

AC Mirage Left Behind Enigma Solution Location

The problem, of course, is the tree depicted on the picture. It was nowhere near the, now deceased, leopard. I looked at the sky and saw a flock of birds circling the village. They were there, just like on the Left Behind Enigma drawing. So, this is the place. I started scouring the shoreline. Soon, I came across a fishing hut. There were also a bunch of cats hanging around the fish. Even the cursed tree was some 15 yards down the shore. This was the spot and I found the recognizable white shine of the enigma. Solving this enigma required exploring the game’s map and going off the beaten path. My only pet peeve was that the image itself is not a factual representation of the things you find in the game’s reality. The tree is in the wrong position in relation to the fishing hut. You can’t find an angle where it looks like on the drawing. This cost me at least 15 minutes of searching. Still, I had a lot of fun in the end. The moment I found the leopard was oh so satisfying. Even if it did not really play a part in the Left Behind Enigma drawing. Lets just say it was a child’s drawing and forgive the inaccuracies.

Left Behind Enigma AC Mirage Reward

The reward for solving Left Behind Enigma is the Horned Lion Talisman. You get this cosmetic item once you loot the enigma white shining solution and then you can equip it in your inventory. These provide no stat bonuses, but look cool as they hang from your back. The description of the item says that it evokes the legend of Rostam, a heroic figure in Persian mythology. It goes great with Rostam armor, sword and dagger. You obtain these in the game from gear chests and contracts.
