BG3 Punish The Wicked, Find the Ledger

To find the Madeline Ledger in the Punish the Wicked quest in BG3 or Baldur’s Gate 3, you need to talk with a creature called Thisobald Thorm. Yes, the name sounds like he’s a Viking warrior, but he’s actually closer to Mr. Creosote. Thisobald is in the Waning Moon tavern, which you can find north of Moonrise Tower. His coordinates are X: -219, Y: -70. I highly recommend you send a rogue or anyone who has a high Sleight of Hand score. And ideally a really good Performance score, too. You’ll be rolling those several times if you want to avoid battling with the disgusting blob. Not that a fight is not a legitimate approach, but the “peaceful” way is much more entertaining.

The following step to find the ledger in the BG3 Punish The Wicked quest is to roll the Sleight of Hand check when Thisobald forces you to drink. A few lines of dialogue later, you will have to make a Performance check to entertain Throm with a story. In the meantime, you’ll be able to question him about Ketheric and other stuff, so make the most of it. Three drinks in, Thisobald will burst and die a messy death. You can freely loot his remains to pick up some stuff. More importantly, you have to interact with a loose floorboard at X: -223, Y: -79. That’s where Madeline’s Ledger is. Take it back to the cultist, and then make the He Who Was or Madeline choice.
