According to one of the people on the CD Projekt Red forum, and a response they apparently got from the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter, the entirety of the game will be in first person. This is going to include cutscenes, and even sex scenes. This is all in the name of player immersion. And, yeah, I can see how that would work.
What becomes fairly clear if you watch the footage of Cyberpunk 2077 released so far is that CDPR is working hard to make the game as immersive as possible. A little too hard, if some reports are to be believed, but we’re not gonna get into that here. One of the means to achieve this is that the whole thing is gonna be in first person. According to Shavod, a user of the CDPR forums, this is going to include cutscenes, too. Yes, all cutscenes. Even the naughty ones. I know for a fact that’s gonna be a major draw for some of you.
Shavod provides a screenshot of a conversation they’ve had with the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter. In it, Shavod asks whether the whole game was going to be in first person, including cutscenes. The response is a pretty solid “yes.” And that includes the sex scenes. Which, given the gender options the game will provide, is going to be a pretty interesting experience. Hell, this is gonna be the first time that LGBTQ+ gamers will be able to have something like this in a game, and I salute that.
Cyberpunk 2077 is launching on April 16th, 2020, on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Oh, and Google Stadia, which, by the time, should be up and running with major growing pains patched out. On PC< you can also get the game via CDPR's own launcher, GOG, and thereby get yourself some extra stuff, including a booklet, posters, etc.
