Dying Light Blueprint Locations in the Slums

Blueprints are schematics needed for crafting weapons and weapon upgrades. You can acquire them as mission rewards, collect them around the city, buy them from vendors and through other game activities.

When you use your survival sense, if there is a blueprint nearby, it starts glowing with bright green color. Blueprints can enhance your combat experience by adding bleed, fire, lighting effects and, in general, they are extremely fun to have. They also have fun names that reflect the place they can be found at. In the guide bellow you can find names and locations of all blueprints that we have found so far, ordered by locations where we found them. We were going through the Slums map in the following directions: North-East-South-Central-West.

Heavy Welder

Effects: Burning (adds Medium Fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 2x Metal Parts, 1x Duct tape, 1x Household Supplies, 2x Aerosol, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Two handed hammer, Pickaxe, Two handed axe.
Found behind a shack in northeastern Slums. Follow the river to find this small hidden place. Open the box behind the shack to collect the blueprint.

Stay Down

Effects: Impact (adds Medium Impact boost to your attacks).
Components: 2x Metal Parts, 2x Duct tape, 1x Plastic, 2x Chemicals, 1x Power Cable.
Base Weapons: Two handed hammer, Pickaxe, Two handed axe.
Found within one of the blue containers next to the safe house area in northeastern Slums.

Puke’N’Nuke

Effects: Toxic (adds Medium Toxic effect to your attacks) and Burning (adds small Fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x metal Parts, 1x Alcohol, 1x Household Supplies, 2x Aerosol, 4x Toxic Lichen, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: All weapons except two handed ones.
This is a rather hard to find blueprint. You have to find a path you can climb along in northeastern Slums. There is a small canyon in this area. Approach it from the far east and follow its northern line. This takes you to a large platform/grassy area. From here keep walking to the west and climb to the higher area. On top of the next higher area you should spot a large tree and a metal barrel with burning wood inside of it. Blueprint is inside a nearby chest.

Cattle Stamp

Effects: Bleeding (adds Medium Bleeding effects to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal parts, 1x Duct tape, 1x Nails, 2x Blade, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Small hammer.
Inside a safe house area north from the main bridge. Blueprint is on a wooden table, bellow a red/white metal roof, close to the nearby vendor.

Surprise MFs!!!

Effects: Electricity (adds Small Electric discharge to your attacks) and Toxic (adds Small Toxic effect to your attacks).
Components: 2x Metal parts, 2x String, 1x Alcohol, 4x Toxic Lichen, 2x Batteries, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: Wrench, Small hammer, Pick, One handed axe, Crowbar, Baseball, bat, Police baton, Military shovel.
On top of the largest main bridge pillar. In order to climb to this area you should get on a large support cable that you first come across to your left if you come from the Slums. Follow this line until you reach the metal platforms. Use them to climb on top of the bridge’s pillar. Blueprint is inside a small yellow metal box.

Spiked Collar

Prerequisite: Story Mission “Pact with Rais”, completed part – Search the huts for the leader.
Effects: Bleeding (adds Medium Bleeding effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x String, 4x Herb, 1x Nails, 2x Blade, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Baseball bat, Pipe.
Inside a house that has a boat leaned against one of its sides. There is a “Golden Hammer” workshop sign located above the large garage entrance. Blueprint is inside the workshop, on a wooden desk, close to the window.

Natural Medkit

Prerequisite: Story Mission “Pact with Rais”, completed part – Search the huts for the leader.
Effects: Medkit made out of herbs.
Components: 3x Herb.

Inside the same fishing village as the previous blueprint. This one is located on the second floor of the house in the center of the village.

Sophia’s Healing Recipe

Prerequisite: Side Mission “Dulse”.
Effects: Medkit made out of Underwater Algae.
Components: 4x Underwater Algae.
“Dulse” is obtainable from the mission board inside the fishing village once you are doing (or have completed) main story mission “Pact with Rais”, (you need to have completed step “Search the huts for the leader”).

Standard-Issue Hellfire

Effects: Burning (adds small Fire effects to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal parts, 1x Gauze, 1x Aerosol.
Base Weapons: Any Melee weapon.
Sold by vendors.

EXPCalibur Blueprint

Effects: This is a weapon blueprint.
Components: 5x Electronics, 10x Metal Parts, 10x Plastic, 10x Tin can, 10x Alcohol, 1x Bolter tissue.
Found on a rock peaking out of the sea far from the shore in southeastern Slums area. There is a giant weapon on top of the dead body that you have to pick up first. You have to hold the action button (F on PC) for several minutes. Once you do it, the body burns down and reveals the schematics.

Electricutter

Effects: Bleeding (adds Small Bleeding effect to your attacks) and Electricity (adds Small Electric discharge to your attacks).
Components: 2x Metal parts, 1x Duct tape, 1x Alcohol, 2x Blade, 2x Batteries, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: Long knife, Short knife.
Inside the eastern electric substation. This area is where side quest Voltage happens. There is a small room inside this electric station. Inside of it you should find a chest and the blueprint inside.

Short Circuit

Effects: Electricity (adds Medium Electric discharge to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 2x Duct tape, 1x Plastic, 2x Batteries, 1x Power Cable.
Base Weapons: Pick, Cleaver, Sickle, Short sword, Blade.
Inside the central electric network station. Go inside a metal fence enclosed area in southeastern part of the station and you should spot a small yellow box on the ground there. This box contains the Short Circuit blueprint.

Zazhigalka

Effects: Burning (adds Medium Fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x String, 1x Nails, 2x Aerosol, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Police baton, Baseball bat, Crowbar.
On top of a bus, within the area of the first safe house. There is a guard next to blue sandbags and a yellow box that contains the blueprint.

All-Purpose Toxic Striker

Effects: Toxic (adds small Toxic effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 4x Herb, 4x Toxic Lichen.
Base Weapons: Any Melee weapon.
Can be bought from vendors in the Tower (or other safehouses) for 800$.

Industrial-Grade Leech

Effects: Bleeding (adds small Bleeding effect to your attacks).
Base Weapons: Any Melee weapon.
Can be bought from the vendor in the Tower for 800$.

Fastball Special

Effects: Impaact (adds small Imapct boost to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x Household Supplies, 1x Chemicals.
Base Weapons: Any Melee weapon.

Electrician

Prerequisite: Side Mission “Electronic Parts”.
Effects: Electricity (adds medium Electric discharge to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x Nails, 1x Plastic, 2x Batteries, 1x Power Cable.
Base Weapons: Wrench, Small hammer.
You can accept this mission from the mission board on the first floor of the Tower, as you reach story mission “Siblings”.

Grill’em and Kill’em

Prerequisite: Side Mission “Lighter Gas”.
Effects: Electricity (adds Small electric discharge to your attacks) and Burning (adds Medium fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 2x Metal Parts, 1x Alcohol, 2x Aerosol, 2x Batteries, 1x Power Cable, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: Wrench, Pick, Military shovel, Cleaver, Sickle.
Side Mission is available from the mission board at the bottom of the Tower. This mission becomes available once you complete the first set of side missions on the same board. The story mission that was active at the time is “Siblings”.

SiCK Bomb Blueprint

Effects: This is a weapon blueprint.
Components: 20 Underwater Algae, 5x Alcohol.
On the Tower’s rooftop you can find a checkers board. In order to acquire the blueprint you have to play the game. Once you play your move, use the elevator to reach the first floor. Use it again to go back up and reach the roof via stairs. Play another move. Repeat this action three more times to win the game and acquire the blueprint that your opponent left behind on the checkers board.

Fire Launcher

Prerequisite: Defend Faruk Survivor. Effects: Impact (adds Small impact boost to your attacks) and Burning (adds Medium fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 2x Metal Parts, 1x Duct tape, 2x Household Supplies, 2x Chemicals, 2x Aerosol, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: Wrench, Small hammer, Pick, One handed axe, Police baton, Baseball bat, Crowbar.
Faruk is just next to the Tower sitting on a sofa. If you succeed in saving him while he does his errands he gives you the blueprint.

GTFO

Prerequisite: Defend Omar Survivor.
Effects: Impact (adds Medium impact boost to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x String, 2x Plastic, 2x Chemicals, 1x Power Cable.
Base Weapons: Long knife, Short Knife.
You can find Omar outside of the Tower. This was one of the funniest things I’ve found in Dying Light.

Thorn Crown

Effects: Bleeding (adds Small Bleeding effect to your attacks) and Electricity (adds small Electric discharge to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x String, 2x Nails, 1x Blade, 2x Batteries, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: Pipe, Baseball bat.
Inside a larger garage of a two story building. In order to enter this garage you have to raise one of its closed metal doors. Once you do it, the blueprint is located inside a small yellow box, on top of a wooden table.

Blueprint 230V

Effects: Electricity (adds Medium Electric discharge to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x Duct tape, 2x Plastic, 2x Batteries, 1x Power Cable.
Base Weapons: Long knife, Short knife.
Inside a safe house that is located just north of the Tower. It is rather easy to find the blueprint as it is placed on a small wooden box, next to the candle.

Barbershop

Effects: Bleeding (adds Medium Bleeding effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal parts, 4x Herb, 1x Alcohol, 2x Blade, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Long knife, Short knife, Cleaver, Blade, Military shovel.
Inside a three story house that is located south from the first highway curve that continues into a long stretch of road leading straight. Area east of this house is on the same level as its second floor. This is also the floor where the blueprint is hidden inside one of the small wooden boxes, on top of the shelf.

Pocket Lighter

Effects: Burning (adds Medium Fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x Duct tape, 1x Household Supplies, 2x Aerosol, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Long knife, Short knife.
Found inside a pharmacy. Side mission “Goodnight Mr. Bahir” leads you to this location, where you have to defeat a couple of thugs that produce bad drugs. Large back entrance leads to a room with a blueprint inside.

Glowing Stick

Effects: Electricity (adds Small Electric discharge to your attacks) and Burning (adds Small Fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal parts, 1x Duct tape, 2x Aerosol, 2x Batteries, 1x Power Cable, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: Pipe, Police baton, Crowbar, Baseball bat.
On top of the railroad overpass there is a brown bus. Railroad and the overpass are located in western central Slums. Blueprint is on the driver’s seat.

Welder

Prerequisite: Story Mission “Pact with Rais”, part – “Persuade” Jaffar.
Effects: Burning (adds Medium Fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal parts, 1x Duct tape, 1x Nails, 2x Aerosol, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Wrench, Small hammer, One handed axe, Pick, Cleaver.
Found inside Jaffar wheelstation garage, on a work desk, next to a blue locker.

Ben Franklin’s Key

Prerequisite: Story Mission “Pact with Rais”, part – “Persuade” Jaffar.
Effects: Electricity (adds Small Electric discharge to your attacks).
Vendor at Jaffar wheelstation garrage sells this item for 800$. You can also buy it from any other vendor.

Kurt’s Bombs

Prerequisite: Side mission “The Big Bang Thesis”.
Effects: This is a throwing weapon.
Components: 1x Nails, 1x Household Supplies, 1x Chemicals, 1x Tin can.
This mission becomes available once you are on the main story mission “Siblings”. It is given over the radio. Side mission ends at Jaffar wheelstation garage.

Zaid’s Flares

Prerequisite: Side Mission “Firebug”.
Effects: This is a flare that you can use to replace the standard one because it lasts longer than the regular ones.
Components: 1x Tin can, 1x Chemicals, 1x Household Supplies.
Side mission “Firebug” becomes obtainable as you reach the story mission “Siblings”. Side mission ends in Jaffar wheelstation.

Dahlia’s Shroom Potion

Prerequisite: Side Mission “Witch Queen”.
Effects: This is a potion. Gives you camouflage upon usage, but it also mess up the key binds for movements.
Components: 2x Alcohol, 1x Gauze, 1x Fluorescent Shrooms.
This side mission becomes available during the story mission “Siblings”. Dahlia, side mission and blueprint giver, is found in the safe zone where a jumping challenge “Jealous Runer” can be started.

Dentist

Effects: Toxic (adds Medium Toxic effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x String, 4x Herb, 4x Toxic Lichen, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Crowbar.
Inside a larger beige colored tent, next to the large metal depot. Blueprint is on the small desk, next to the laptop and the microscope.

Filthy Blade

Effects: Bleeding (adds Medium Bleeding effect to your attacks) and Toxic (adds small Toxic effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 4x Herb, 1x Nails, 2x Blade, 2x Aerosol, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: Long knife, Short knife.
Inside the storage room of a gas station. There is a hard lock you need to pick at the entrance of this room. Once you unlock it, you can find the schematic on top of one of the shelves.

Poison Pen

Effects: Toxic (adds Medium Toxic effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal parts, 1x Nails, 4x Herb, 4x Toxic Lichen, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Police baton.
Search for Harran Public School. Inside of its yard there should be a beige colored tent. Next to the whiteboard, inside the tent, is the blueprint.

Water Current

Effects: Electricity (adds Medium Electric discharge to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x String, 1x Plastic, 2x Batteries, 1x Power Cable.
Base Weapons: Pipe.
Found on a desk inside a safehouse. You should know the location of this safehouse since it is part of one of the first main story missions – “First Assignment”. The safehouse is just north of the long highway turn.

Stinky Edge

Effects: Toxic (adds Medium Toxic effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 4x Herb, 4x Underwater Algae, 4x Toxic Lichen, 1x Gauze.
Base Weapons: Long knife, Short knife, Sickle, Blade, Military shovel, Cleaver, One handed axe.
Inside a room on the second floor of the Bites Motel. Blueprint is behind locked door, on the shelf, between the television and the closet.

Zappo

Prerequisite: Help survivor Nick reach the tower (protection side mission event).
Effects: Electricity (adds Small Electric discharge to your attacks) and Burning (adds Small Fire effect to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x String, 2x Aerosol, 2x Batteries, 1x Power Cable, 1x Electronics.
Base Weapons: Long knife, Short knife.
This should be the first protection event you come across. Release Nick from the van and protect him as you reach the tower, where he gives you the blueprint in return.

Zombie Classic

Prerequisite: Complete side mission The Prodigal Son.
Effects: Electricity (adds Medium Electric discharge to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x Duct tape, 1x Plastic, 2x Batteries, 1x Power Cable.
Base Weapons: Machete.
The Prodigal Son side mission becomes available at the end of the main story mission “Pact with Rais”. You can accept it from Alexei at the second antenna tower that you have to climb on top of as the part of the main story mission “Pact with Rais”. Once you complete the side mission “The Prodigal Son” Alexei gives you the blueprint as a reward.

Home Run

Prerequisite: Complete side mission The Prodigal Son.
Effects: Impact (adds Medium Impact boost to your attacks).
Components: 1x Metal Parts, 1x Duct tape, 1x Nails, 2x Chemicals, 1x Power Cable.
Base Weapons: Pipe, Police baton, Crowbar, Military shovel, Wrench, Small hammer, Pick, One handed axe, Baseball bat.
At the end of the side mission “The Prodigal Son” you save Alexei from the thugs. He also hides in the room that was locked before. This room becomes unlocked at the end of the side mission and you can collect the blueprint there.

Korek Machete Blueprint

Effects: This is a weapon blueprint.
Components: 10 Alcohol, 20 Metal Parts.
Found on top of a building located close to a gas station (as marked on the map bellow). It is a rather difficult task to climb on top of this building, and there is probably only one way to do it. You have to use the air conditioner near the hallway at the center of the building to push yourself toward the lamp on the side of the nearby balcony. Once you are on top of this lamp, progress toward the building’s rooftop. Once there you should spot a bunch of boxes piled one on top of each other, close to the building’s rooftop maintenance room. Between the same room and the boxes there is a small gap with a blue box. Hit the box numerous times to make it open and reveal the schematic. This extremely powerful weapon is worth the effort.
