Where to Find Moonveil Katana in Elden Ring

To find the Elden Ring Moonveil Katana, you will have to plumb the depths of Gael Tunnel, a mini-dungeon in Caelid (location in the screenshots below). In the bowels of this tunnel, you’ll find the Magma Wyrm, a terrifying belly-crawling dragon that literally turns the floor to lava and also brandishes a sword. In other words, it’s definitely not gonna be a walk in the park, but the sword is worth it. So, here’s how to get to the wyrm.

From the entrance into Gael Tunnel, you’ll have to carefully navigate your way down to the pit. You need to drop platform by platform; the path is basically a downward spiral to the left, more or less. Activate the site of grace at the bottom and head down the tunnel. Go down the stairs to the wooden platform, and then down the stairs on your left. Follow this path and climb down the ladders. Next, to find the Elden Ring Moonveil Katana, walk all the way down the tunnel to the south. Eventually, you’ll find yourself in a more open area with two doors; one single and one double.

Behind the single door is a site of grace that you might as well activate, and a corridor leading out of Gael Tunnel. As for the double doors, that’s where the Magma Wyrm is. Once you manage to bring it down, you’ll get a Dragon Heart, which is useful in its own right, as well as the Moonlight Katana. Good luck!

Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
