How to Hold Breath in Ghost Recon Breakpoint on PlayStation 4 – Sharpshooter Challenge?

To hold your breath in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the game tells you that you have to press and hold L2. And, well, that’s technically true. This is necessary to complete one of the challenges for the Sharpshooter class, where you’ll have to kill three enemies while holding your breath. However, if you press and hold L2, you will go into the aiming mode with the sniper, but you won’t actually hold your breath. We’ve been wracking our brain for a long time, and we finally figured it out.

What you actually have to do is press and hold L2 half-way. So, don’t press L2 all the way, just half-way. Then, just hold it in that uncomfortable position. After a second or so, you will enter breath-holding mode. You’ll know that you’ve pulled it off through audio clues. Specifically, you’ll hear a sharp intake of breath from your character, and then, you’ll also hear a heartbeat. Also, the environmental audio kinda goes a little dimmer. Now, you’re free to complete the Sharpshooter challenge.

Outside of this one challenge, I doubt that you’ll find a lot of use for this system. The regular sniper aim is precise enough, for the most part. And pressing the button half-way is just unnecessarily annoying. But, well, now you know what to do. L2 won’t work for me. Releases fully as soon as I try to let off pressure. Bad controller maybe?
