If you are wondering what has happened with your CS:GO achievements in Counter-Strike 2, you are not alone. The next version of the massively popular tactical first-person shooter has finally launched, to the delight of millions of fans around the globe. However, those same fans were unpleasantly surprised to learn that their CS:GO achievements are missing in CS2. “I’ve been playing CS:GO since 2013, and as excited as I am for a new chapter, I am sad to see that all my old achievements are just gone,” wrote Steam user ColeCaine. “Are there any plans to bring them back or preserve the dates in any way?”
To be perfectly frank with you, we don’t know what plans Valve has with your past achievements in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. If you open the Counter-Strike 2 game page in your library, it shows that it only has one achievement! Maybe this was an oversight, and they will bring those CS:GO achievements back to CS2? We are honestly not sure about this at the moment. However, based on the first reactions of players, many are rather angry about the fact that their years-worth of hard work towards all those achievements is now gone.
“At the moment, I’m only seeing one achievement,” writes user Theromulans. “Indeed, what happened to all the achievements I’ve been working towards for years? Let alone the ones I did actually achieve. I wasn’t expecting CS2 to blow these away.” Hopefully, Valve will find a way to bring back the missing CS:GO achievements in CS2.
