Willpower or Divinity Choice in Immortal Life

The choice between getting +3 to Willpower or +3 in Immortal Life happens at the very beginning of the game, when Yang Ziqin asks what you think of your new home and the Misty Valley in general. You can either say that it’s a good place to live quietly, or perfect to further your cultivation. In fact, since we’re on the subject, here’s the full text of both choices.

  • The mountains and rivers surrounding the valley make it perfect for living in quiet seclusion and enjoying country living (Willpower +3)
  • It is so serene here and the air itself is rich with spiritual power. It is the perfect place to further one’s cultivation (Divinity +3)

So, what should you choose at the beginning of Immortal Life, Willpower +3 or Divinity +3? To answer that, we need to know what these stats do. Willpower increases your defense in combat, aka how much damage you take. Divinity, on the other hand, increases the damage you do and the chance of getting critical hits against enemies. It also seems to slightly increase your chances of finding hidden items and getting better loot. With all of that said, the choice becomes obvious: I highly recommend you take +3 to Divinity and leave the Willpower alone for now.

Of course, the choice is up to you. Feel free to choose whatever you believe works best. And if you need more help with Immortal Life, check out some of our other guides, like How to Enhance Tools and The Hermit in the Forest Location.
