Mass Effect: Andromeda revealed more about Peebee, an important member of the squad. We’ve known a bit about her personality from previous information, but now, is time to go a bit deeper. With a help from the official page and Christine Lakin, who is the voice of Peebee, we can see the bigger picture.
Peebee is voiced by Christine Lakin. She is known for acting in many TV series and movies, as well as voice acting in video games. Some of her appearances in video games include The Walking Dead: The Game – Season 1, 2 & 3 (voice of Jane), Wildstar (voice of Mordesh and Lowborn Female), Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse (voice of Joyce Kinney) and more.
Christine Lakin says that Peebee is probably one of the most fun characters she’s voiced. She is impulsive, quirky and very different than the rest of the team. The goofy side of Peebee is something that we’ve had a chance to experience already. She is also somebody who has never trusted anyone. This is the first time she has allowed herself to open up and be a part of the team, or fall in love.
Peebee’s quote “The Milky Way was so… been-there-done-that. Even if I hadn’t done it, someone had” says so much about her.
Peebee’s Mass Effect page tells us almost everything about her. We knew that Peebee is a nickname, but now we have a full name. She’s less likely to be called by her full name Pelessaria B’Sayle. She originates from Port Lerama, Hyetiana.
Peebee’s main role and strength is a Gunslinger and Biotic Destabilizer. Her favorite weapon is the Sidewinder Outlaw Pistol.
She is not your typical Asari; she’s free spirit that seeks adventure in the unexplored corners of a new galaxy. Creative director Mac Walters emphasized this is a great way to learn more about the race through their representatives.
She is less sophisticated and concerned about other people’s problems; spontaneous and compulsive. Peebee is not to be mistaken with Liara T’Soni, who made an appearance in all previous Mass Effect titles.
For some reason, Peebee strongly reminds me of Sigourney Weaver.
