In New World, you choose a faction from the Marauders, Syndicate or Covenant, and a time will come when you must level up or rank up your team. This involves a set task, that differs for each faction. Without doing this, your reputation remains capped. For many, this is limiting, and you will want to break through this as soon as possible. Read on as we discuss how to level up factions in New World.
How to Level up Faction in New World – Rank up Marauders, Syndicate & Covenant Reputation
When you have joined a faction, you can speak to their representative at a settlement. They will always have six quests on offer. Three will be player vs environment, and three will be player versus player.
Both will count towards your faction standing. However, PVP quests involve the threat of failure. As such, they offer more returns and increase your faction standing quicker than PVE. Complete these first to level up faster.
How to Increase Faction Reputation Cap
In the early stages of the game, your faction will have its reputation capped at 3,000. To get past this, you must complete certain quests to further the rank. This quest will change depending upon the faction you have chosen and should appear at level 20. Each time you reach a level up faction cap, the quests in New World will repeat.
- Covenant – Trial of the Templar
- Syndicate – Trial of the Scrivener
- Marauder – Trial of the Gladiator
Some problems have been noted within individual factions and how to level up with them. For example, if you have joined The Syndicate, when you reach level 20 you will want to move from adept to scrivener. This involves going to Brightwood Hamlet. Be aware that this is a level 26 to 35 zone, and the quest is level 25. This means it is way out of the league of most players at this point in the game.
Another small bug is that of anyone advancing to gladiator level as a Marauder. This involves incorrect levels noted in the journal. Read our guide here to help you understand how to fix this process.
