Nioh Illusory Wall Locations - Where to Find Nurikabe

Nurikabe are illusory walls in Nioh. They’re yokai disguised as walls, often hiding treasures. One way to get around them is to fight – they’re not impossibly difficult, but they are made of stone. There’s a better way, however – if you perform the right kind of gesture, they’ll let you pass without a fight. In this guide, we’re going to show you all Nioh illusory wall locations, which gesture to use to avoid fighting.

Nurikabe locations in Nioh

Mission: Deep in the Shadows (Kyushu region)
Where to find: After you pass the second shrine, you’ll soon enter a chamber where you’ll have to fight a large demon. There’s also a revenant summon spot there. Go along the walls until the eyes light up. It’s next to a mushroom patch.
Gesture: Blue (the revenant text will tell you which one not to use)
Rewards: Bandit Armor, Minoden Dual Tachi, Lightning Amulet, some crafting materials

Remember, there are always clues about the correct kind of gesture. It doesn’t matter specifically which one you use, but you have to match the color. For instance, the one above had a hint in the revenant text, saying he was killed for his hostile actions. That means a red gesture is out of the question, which just leaves yellow and blue. You have 2 tries per wall, so if you find the hint, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll fail. Of course, you can always just fight the demon – but that can be a bit difficult.

If you find any other Nurikabe locations, feel free to share them in the comments. If you get different rewards from the ones in this guide, be sure to let us know – they might be random.
