Nioh – How to Unlock Pre-Order Bonuses

Where to find Nioh preorder items

Unlike many other games, Nioh requires you to unlock your pre-order bonuses in the game. Not only that, but you have to complete the entire first mission, it seems. Once you reach the shores of Japan, you’ll be able to get your hands on the pre-order stuff.

Every pre-order of the game includes a black samurai Nioh Armor, which looks incredibly badass. If you’ve pre-ordered the game on the PlayStation store, you’ll also get the Crimson Master Armor, aka Sanada Crimson. As you can probably guess, it’s a blood-red suit of armor with antlers on the helmet. It’s based on a real-life samurai Yukimura Sanada.

In order to unlock these goodies, you’ll need to head to the first shrine after you finish the first mission. Luckily for you, it’s right there in front of you after the cutscene ends. Approach the shire and hold the circle button to pray. This will open a menu. From here, select the Boons option. This will check for any DLC that you have. Here’s what you’ll get.
