How to Hatch Eggs Faster in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

To hatch eggs faster in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, or BDSP, you need to have at least one Pokemon in your party with either the Flame Body ability or the Magma Armor ability. Either of these halves the number of steps necessary to hatch an egg. So, while you can’t escape the process of walking around completely, you can at least cut down on it significantly. With all that said, which Pokemon should you focus on catching to get one of these two abilities?

Well, you have your choice between Ponyta, Camerupt, Magmar and Magcargo. Magmar and Ponyta can have Flame Body as a hidden ability, while the other two can have Magma Armor as a natural ability. Whatever the case may be, all four are fair game, just as long as they have either of the abilities. When you get one, put it in your party. The fastest way to hatch eggs in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl from that point is to head to Solaceon Town. That place has a long, uninterrupted and unobstructed straight line that you can just walk up and down until the egg hatches.

That’s basically all there is to it. If you need more help with the game, you can check out some of our other guides. For example, we’ve got articles like How to Get Shiny Stones, How to Get Pikachu, and How to Get Spiritomb.
