How to Catch Murkrow – Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

To catch a Murkrow in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl or BDSP, well, you first need to own Brilliant Diamond. Murkrow is exclusive to that version. If you have Shiny Pearl instead, then you’ll have to trade with other players. Yes, it’s a bummer, but that’s what the Pokemon series has been doing since the very start. If you need to know how to trade in Pokemon BDSP, check out our How to Trade – Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl guide. If you guys follow this guide, you’ll come across Misdreavus instead. So, with all of that said, let’s get to the meat of the matter.

First off, head to Eterna Forest. That’s east from Eterna City, and you can get there by following Route 205. Next, wait for night to fall, or just move the Switch’s clock to anywhere between 8 PM and 4 AM, because that’s what the game considers to be night time. Now, run around the grass areas. That’s where to find and how to get a Murkrow in Pokemon BDSP or Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl. Trudge around the grass and hope that one of the random encounters turns out to be a Murkrow. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
