According to, these Raids will take place between December 31st to January 1st, and then again from January 13th to January 15th. So, in order to prepare, here’s some Pokemon to use in this fight. Feel free to share your own ideas in the comments below.

  • Dachsbun – It’s a powerful Fairy Pokemon that can also learn Psychic moves, plus it’s Well-Baked Body trait makes it immune to fire attacks. They raise its defense, in fact. Arm it with Charm (level 42), Play rough (level 18), Dazzling Gleam (TM 79) and Psychic Fangs (TM 63).
  • Azumarill – Being a dual Water and Fairy Pokemon, it’s both resistant against Cinderace’s Fire attacks and can deal a ton of damage with Fairy attacks. Moves-wise, you’ll want to get Charm (level 6), Draining Kiss (TM 37), and definitely Play Rough (level 25) and Belly Drum (Egg Moves).
  • Charizard – If you’ve gotten Charizard via the previous 7 star raids, then that will be a great option to go for here. Definitely arm it with Belly Drum and a Flying attack like Acrobatics. Pepper in some other powerful moves in there, and you should be good to go.
  • Armarouge – Another Pokemon that can resist a lot of Cinderace’s attacks and can have a ton of attacks devastating to the giant rabbit. Give it moves like Psychic Terrain (TM 138), Reflect (TM 74), Psyshock, Psychic, Calm Mind, Trick Room… whichever combo works best for you.
