Lord Isshin in Sekiro is an NPC that you can find in a specific location in Ashina Castle. However, some players have been having trouble finding Lord Isshin in Ashina Castle. We have a feeling we know why that is, and it has something to do with a certain side quest. That being the case, here’s our Sekiro Lord Isshin Location in Ashina Castle – Where to Find guide to show you where he is, and how to make him appear at the location. Before we dive in, though, I’m gonna have to put up a huge SPOILER WARNING. I’ll be talking about what happens after you kill Genichiro; so, if you don’t want that spoiled for you, I’d recommend bookmarking us and coming back when you slay him.
Where to Find Lord Isshin in Sekiro Ashina Castle?
To find Lord Isshin in Ashina Castle in Sekiro, all you have to do is go out of the window from Kuro’s room, look to your right, and follow the trail of the purple smoke / vapor / whatever. The first thing you have to do, after killing Genichiro, is to talk with Emma, and then Kuro. Talk with Kuro until he tells you to look for Lord Isshin. Before you go searching for Isshin, though, make sure that you’ve completed the Rats quest for Tengu of Ashina in Ashina Outskirts. This might be why he’s not appearing where he’s supposed to.
After that, exit Kuro’s room through the window in the corner, to the left of the Kuro’s Room idol. Look up and to the left, and perch yourself up there. Look to the right, and you’ll see a kind of trail of purple smoke. Follow it onto the roof opposite you, then turn right, and go towards the yellow-lit window, where the last purple smoke stack is. Inside this room is Lord Isshino. Speak to him, and make sure you talk about the Mortal Blade, among the other stuff.
Asking about the Mortal Blade is pretty important, because that will send you on a quest to find the weapon. Obtaining it is going to lead to you being able to complete some quests, including finding Rice for the old woman in Senpou Temple, and finding out what to do with the Senpou Temple Kite.
