Before we proceed with our guide, here is a short disclaimer. Sons of the Forest has just been released in early access, and we have just started playing. Hence, this is not a complete guide. Rather, we will continue to regularly update this article as soon as we discover some new locations for some new weapons. Therefore, visit us regularly to learn about the new weapon.

How to get Stun Baton in Sons Of The Forest

The first powerful weapon you will want to put your hand onto is the Stun Baton. The Stun Baton can be acquired relatively early in the game if you know where to look, of course. So, where to find the Stun Baton in Sons Of The Forest? Follow these instructions in order to get it.

  • Start from the helicopter crash site.
  • Follow the river downstream.
  • Not far from your starting point, you’ll spot a small waterfall.
  • You’ll spot a skull on a stick at the base of that waterfall, on a small stone in the middle of the stream.
  • Interact with it by pressing “E”, and you’ll receive the Stun Baton.

How to Get Katana in Sons Of The Forest

The Katana is one of the most popular melee weapons in video games. Hence, it’s no wonder that many Sons Of The Forest players want to know where to find it. You will be able to find it in a cave located in the southeastern part of the map, near a big lake below the mountains. It is the biggest lake on the map, hard to miss. How to Get Shotgun in Sons Of The Forest

The good old shotgun is always a reliable weapon to blast some cannibal’s heads from close proximity. And given the tendency of these nasty cannibals to get up close and personal, you will want to put your hands on this bad boy as soon as possible. The Stun Gun might not be the deadliest weapon in your arsenal, but even a stunned cannibal is one less threat to think about. How to Get Crossbow in Sons Of The Forest

If you don’t enjoy the smell of the cannibals and prefer to take them out from a distance, the Crossbow is a perfect choice for you. To get the Crossbow, you’ll need the Maintenance Keycard. And, of course, you’ll need to enter a cave. This one is at the far norther-west of the map, just above a small lake that forms there. Check out our images below for the exact location. Inside is a room you will need to unlock with the keycard, and you will find the Crossbow there.

How to Get Pistol in Sons Of The Forest

In Sons Of The Forest, you’ll often need one hand to be free for the lighter, GPS, or other equipment. In such scenarios, the Shotgun simply doesn’t do the trick. But the pistol does! For this Sons of the Forest weapons location, you’ll have to get wet! It can be found on a small red/orange inflatable lifeboat floating in the sea near the coast. It is the only purple exclamation point inside the sea. Once there, simply swim towards the boat and collect the loot inside. Check out our map below for the exact location.
