In Starfield, your spaceship is one of the important gameplay elements. It allows you to travel to other planets, engage in space combat, transport your crew and cargo, and so much more. Of course, this also means that you are going to need to repair it from time to time. You can do this in one of several ways, but all of them require Ship Parts in order to make the repairs. And if you are wondering how to get more Ship Parts in Starfield, then this guide is for you.
How to Get New Ship Parts Starfield
The easiest way is to simply purchase Ship Parts from vendors. Look for them in the Aid category in the vendor’s buy screen. Though, needless to say, while easy, this method requires that you spend your hard-earned Credits to buy them. The second method is similar, and it involves paying either a Ship Technician, or a Repair n’ Go vessel in order to repair your ship. You can find Ship Technicians in every major starport in the game, and Repair n’ Go startships while randomly traveling through space.
Next, you can loot defeated ships. You can either dock with them and board them when they are sufficiently damaged, or completely destroy them. If you don’t know how to do this, we recommend that you read through our guides that explain ship docking and how to loot ships. Finally, sometimes you will encounter neutral or friendly space vessels that are being attacked. If you help them fight off their attackers, the crew of these ships will want to thank you. This can take the form of you asking them for Credits, salvaging rights, or extra repair parts. Naturally, if you are low on Ship Parts, you will want to choose the repair parts option. And if you want to unlock the option of getting and installing better quality ship modules, you will want to level up your Starship Design skill to do so.
