How to Find Buried Treasure in Valheim?

To find Valheim Buried Treasure, you need a Pickaxe. At the very least, you have to have the Antler Pickaxe, for which you need to kill the first boss, Eikthyr. Once you have that, explore the Meadows biome until you find a patch of bare earth surrounded with standing stones, as pictured above and below. Dig one to two levels down within the stones, and then dig through the whole area to find everything that might be hiding down there. Be patient and thorough so you don’t miss anything.

One thing that you can do to make things easier is the Wishbone, which you get after defeating the Bonemass boss. The Wishbone acts as a kind of metal detector. When equipped, it emits green sparks (as you can see below) and starts beeping when you’re near buried treasure. The faster the beeping, the closer you are. This method reveals not only treasure chests, but also various ores, such as Silver. Also, it is the only surefire way to find hidden chests outside of the Meadows, where they won’t be as clearly marked.
