If you happen to find yourself next to the Crooked House in The Bits, you may come across a child that is crying.
He will not want to share his woes with you, and will run off.
Go after him for a short while and he will suddenly decide to speak, yelling at you to watch out for a group of four bandits waiting in ambush. Killing the bandits should be light work, but after you finish you will find that the child has disappeared. The short quest has come to a close.
