Namely, the complete Depths Armor set, when worn, protects four of your hearts from getting disabled by Gloom. In addition, you receive a set bonus called Gloom Attack Resist. This grants you additional heart when being attacked by Gloom Hands and other monsters whose attacks are inflicting the Gloom status on you.
