Pokemon GO How to Get Raichu With Christmas Hat

However, there’s a little something more. From December 12th to December 29th, trainers all across the world have the chance to catch a special, festive Pokemon. Specifically, it’s a Pikachu with a Santa hat. A lot of players have caught one already, since they seem to be plenty abound. But, will Pika keep his cute hat after the event is over? And, can we get a Raichu with the same hat? Oh, yes, we can. Let’s see how to get Christmas Raichu in Pokemon GO.

How to Get Raichu With Christmas Hat in Pokemon GO

The answer is simple: Evolve your Pikachu with the hat! According to the official Pokemon GO Twitter, they will appear in “large quantities” all through the event. Therefore, you really shouldn’t have to many problems collecting enough candies. Once you evolve your Pika Claus, you’ll be rewarded with a Raichu wearing the same hat. Best of all, both Pikachus and Raichus will get to keep the hat even after the event is over.

Here’s the text of the official tweet form Niantic:

Trainers, Raichu will have a festive hat if evolved from Holiday Pikachu, and both will keep the hat permanently even after Dec. 29, 2016.

As part of the event, Niantic has invited all of the trainers to share their Holiday Pikachus. To take part, all you need to do is take a photograph of the Holiday Pikachu before you catch it using the AR option in game. Then, head over to your social network of preference and share the picture using #HolidayPikachu.

Will this, coupled with the new Pokemon we can catch, be enough to get you to brave the winter weather?
