Ubisoft Announce Their First Digital Conference For July

Ubisoft has announced their first digital conference, called Ubisoft Forward. They’ve been preparing to show off their new stuff on all the conferences that have been either cancelled or gone online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and since it would be a shame for all that effort to go to waste, they’ve decided to organize a digital showcase of their own. It’s going to take place on July 12th, starting from 12PM PDT / 9PM CEST, and it’s going to be full of “exclusive game news, exciting reveals, and much more”. Read on if you want to go on a journey of wild guesswork with us.

The info you see up there in the opening paragraf is literally all the info Ubisoft have made public. So what are they going to show off? Well, let’s get the obvious ones out of the way – there’s bound to be some Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion and Rainbow Six Quarantine footage, as they’re all nearing their intended release dates. We haven’t seen much of Valhalla, and a lot of folks were unhappy with the last trailer, so that one’s a given. We haven’t heard much about the other two lately, so we expect them to pop up as well.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 might make an appearance too – although it’s a long way off, the developers keep showing off bits and pieces at various occasions. Fingers crossed. Since they’ve mentioned exciting reveals, there’s bound to be a new game announcement squeezed in there. A new Far Cry is the obvious bet – it’s been two years since the last one – but we’re also hoping for something more out of the left field, like a new Rayman or Prince of Persia. It’s probably going to be Splinter Cell, though. If you have any crazy theories, be sure to share them in the comments.
